The Helpmann Academy is a truly unique organisation – there is no other group in Australia that provides such valuable and practical assistance to emerging artists across all creative disciplines.

Since its inception in 1994, Helpmann has assisted more than 3000 emerging artists support their own work, enter their professions with confidence and go on to make strong contributions to South Australia’s community, economy and identity.

The Academy is proud of the unique work it does, fostering collaboration between art forms and maintaining strong relationships with its seven partner schools. By creating opportunities via grants, awards, exhibitions, professional mentorships, visiting artists, publicity services and international exchange programs, Helpmann is committed to strengthening South Australia as a centre of excellence in creative education.
