Grants

The Helpmann Academy’s grants scheme offers more than $100,000 a year for performing and visual arts projects from all seven of its partner institutions.

Grants of up to $4,000 for individuals and $9,000 for groups are available for staff, students and graduates from the following Helpmann Academy partners:

  • Adelaide Central School of Art
  • Adelaide College of the Arts (TAFE SA)
  • Elder Conservatorium of Music (University of Adelaide)
  • Flinders Drama Centre
  • Flinders Screen Production
  • School of Art, Architecture & Design (UniSA)

Closing dates:

The current round of Regular Grant applications will close at 5:00pm on Friday 9 August

All applications MUST fulfill all of the terms and conditions of our regular grants (all of which are detailed in the PDF above). Applications that do not adhere to these criteria will not be considered.



Graduation Activity Grants


The Helpmann Academy offers grants that at tailored specifically for the graduation activities of final year students from its partner institutions.

The grants are designed to assist students preparing for graduation showcases, audition tours, performances and exhibitions relevant to the presentation of a graduating group of students.

Quick Response Grants


The Helpmann Academy understands that many worthwhile projects and opportunities often present themselves at short notice. As such, we offer final-year students of our partner institutions and graduates (up to five years out) $500 short response grants for projects taking place within one month of application. A finite pool of funds is available for this purpose.

The next pool of funding and applications for quick response grants will be accepted from late August 2013.

Major Grants

Major Grant funding is for the purpose of assisting our partner institutions with various large-scale collaborative projects.

There are two categories of Major Grants:

Visiting Artists grants are intended to bring visiting artists to work in partner institutions on collaborative projects. Applications are accepted from all partner institutions for a maximum amount of $10,000.

Collaborative Performing Arts grants are to assist performing arts-related collaborations. Applications are accepted from all performing arts partner institutions for a maximum amount of $15,000.
