Polishing Your Presentation Skills
Helpmann Academy Activate Seminar Series
With Jill Gael, Director CPD Arts BIZ
Part of building a sustainable creative practice is being able to present yourself and your work in the best light – be that in auditions, pitch meetings, to potential buyers, galleries, donors and the public. While many artists would prefer that their work speaks for them, networking is an important and necessary part of life as an emerging artist.
In this seminar, Jill Gael, Director of CPD Arts BIZ, will guide you through some simple and easy steps to master any presentation (be it professional or informal!) and take you through the 7 Ps:
- Presentations – they have to be great
- Peppering – making things interesting
- Imprinting – something to speak for you when you have gone
- Practice, Practice, Practice
- Props and Costumes
- Putting nerves aside
- Pondering – reflect, review and improve
At the end of the session, we hope you will be able to utilise these skills in order to confidently engage different audiences in your work.
