Emerging Curator Program Exhibitions
Join us for the 2018 Emerging Curator Program delivered in partnership with the City of Adelaide.
Emerging curators Ursula Halpin and Mia Van Den Bos (mentored by Liz Nowell, CEO, ACE Open), will present concurrent exhibitions across four council gallery spaces:
• Adelaide Town Hall First Floor Gallery
• Mankurri-api Kuu (Reconciliation Room, Adelaide Town Hall)
• Art Pod & Breezeway (25 Pirie St, Adelaide)
Ursula will present Stitching Yarns across Mankurri-api Kuu (Reconciliation Room, Adelaide Town Hall), the Art Pod and Breezeway. Featuring works by Tamara Baillie, Makeda Duong, Lizzy Emery, Nina Frigault, Sasha Grbich, Deborah Prior, Bill Rankine, Millie Rigney, Ellen Trevorrow and Sera Waters (Sera Waters is represented by Hugo Michell Gallery), the three exhibitions and associated events will pull together craft makers and artists from across cultures in South Australia and prompts them to exchange stories and modes of thinking through making.
Mia Van Den Bos will present Zeros and Ones at the Adelaide Town Hall First Floor Gallery, featuring works from South Australian emerging artists Marye Hobbs and Stephen Roedel. Marye and Stephen create works that explore ways of seeing influenced by science and technology.
Exhibitions run from Friday 9 November 2018 – 19 January 2019
