The Helpmann Academy is thrilled to offer a new three-month residency at EESAB (École Européenne Supérieure D’Art De Bretagne) in Brittany, France.
Open to visual artists who are graduates of our partner institutions, this residency offers an emerging South Australian artist the opportunity to undertake a three-month residency at EESAB – the largest higher art school in France.
The chosen candidate will be provided with a studio space on one of the institution’s four campuses (Brest, Lorient, Quimper, Rennes), with the studio being selected to specifically suit the attending artist and their practice.
The residency will provide the successful applicant with time and space to develop new work, learn new skills, be inspired by fellow artists, or undertake research. The artist will have access to the institution’s public classes and have the opportunity to network with the artistic community, including students and faculty.
The artist will also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich culture and environment of Brittany, France.
The residency will run from 1 April – 30 June 2020.
